Well, a great time was had by all at the Almond Rally organised and planed by Jean Pierre Allemann with much assistance from Faith.
22 cars took part on a very testing route which utilized smaller roads and routes in the North/East of Mallorca. This was one of the best attendances we have had for a considerable time.
Congregating in Manacor the first car left at 11am and then with two minute intervals the remainder followed. Not only was the route, part Tulip, part map and the final part with directions well planned with very devious directions, the questions asked on route were up to the standard of Mastermind! Fortunately there were marriage counselors available at the end, but it was a fantastic outing, culminating in an excellent lunch in Sencelles.
The winners were Malcolm Kelliher in his TR3, and we had a joint 2nd place with Andreas Merbach XK120, and our President Peter Roach also in a XK120.
So, on behalf of the committee and all those members who attended our sincere thanks goes to Jean Pierre and Faith for organizing this first rally of 2013. We recognize the amount of work that goes into the planning, mapping and making sure all the instructions are written correctly and for this we are extremely grateful.
As always, we welcome your feed back and please feel free to contact me on the email address provided.
A reminder that our next rally will be on the 31st March ( Easter Sunday) and this will also include our AGM. Full details will be sent later.
