Mirador Rally 30 September 2012

Well despite the weather going against us, the true classic car spirit prevailed and a good day was had by all!

The mountain roads proved a little slippery and the low cloud didn’t help matters, but we never lost anyone and we all arrived safely in Port Soller at the “So Capricho” restaurant.

Unfortunately, Peter Dinseng tried to battle on in his Healey, but without a hood, his car was fast turning into a boat! So it was a case of RTB.

The preplanned lunch on a “sunny terrace” had to be slightly changed, but as you can see from the photos we all were undercover and enjoyed a splendid lunch with excellent service.

In all we had 37 attendees in 17 cars, which is one of the best meetings for some considerable time!

The overall winner with maximum points of 32 was Pam Gardner , but as her AC Cobra was in the work shop, she had to use a “non” classic car and therefore had to be eliminated.

So with 30 points, Robert & Jane Klevenhagen in their Mercedes 380 were announced the winners.

Joint 2nd place went to Nick & Johanna Tringham in their MGB with Paddy & Anna Pigden in their Alfa Spyder both scoring 28 points,
so well done to each of them.

Best regards to all.
