27 entrants met at Festival Park on an overcast and breezy morning. Over coffee and croissants supplied by Ray Dodd the Club Secretary and his wife Sue, the instructions were given out. There was great activity as the teams worked out the route from the co-ordinates. Then they disappeared in their Classic Cars to match up the photographs and to arrive at the destination for lunch.
At approximately 1300 hours the competitors started to arrive at the destination, Puigpunient a delightful small village in the Tramuntana Mountains. The route had allowed them to travel two mountain passes and numerous hairpin bends including sections of single track road and numerous spectacular views.
In total some 57 people enjoyed a 3 course meal at the Rose Restaurant run by Rosa and Martin. The steaks and the salmon were excellent followed by an exceptional home made tiramisu.
In total 18 teams out of 27 submitted completed entry forms with 8 teams matching the coordinates and photographs correctly. This created a tie break questionnaire and the eventual winners where announced by the President Peter Roach and the Secretary Ray Dodd. The President and his wife having organised the event.
