For all those members who took part in Sunday’s Photo Rally, I am sure that they would agree it was a perfect outing, with perfect weather and above all great company.
It was a great start to the meeting at the Marina Port Cafe in Palma, as it was a glorious sunny morning and after coffee, 15 cars with 34 members, including guests set off on a photo destination rally.
Our President, Peter and his wife Jackie had planned the route and with 10 map references and a small clue for each, the rally begun at 11am. Our task as competitors was to match a photo with each destination point. The route took us on some very small country lanes and through small towns and until we reached our final destination which at the Menestralia Restaurant Campernet, where a superb buffet lunch was enjoyed by all.
The overall winner was Jean Pierre Allemann, 2nd Nick Tringham and 3rd Malcolm Kelliher.
Our thanks once again to Peter for arranging a great outing.
Of course the other purpose of the meeting was to have our AGM, which was duly convened. The accounts and minutes were agreed and after the President and Treasurer had given their reports the nominations for the vacant committee positions were proposed.
I am pleased to announce that Pam Gardner (AC Cobra) and Nick Tringham (MGB) where duly proposed and seconded. In addition, Jean Pierre Alleman has also confirmed that he will attend future committee meetings and with his wealth of experience I am sure this will help to provide an even stronger committee.
As always, if any of you have comments, criticisms or suggestions, then please feel free to contact any committee member.
A reminder that our next scheduled outing will be on April 28th and details will be announced later.
Wishing you many happy hours of driving in Mallorca.
